Delray Beach, Florida
This is where we are staying:

The lobby is pretty:

This is what our bedroom looks like, sort of.
(The first night, we had this view,
but we had to move
because there is construction going on right there.
Now we have a less impressive view.
But it's quieter.
Oh well.

We also have this living room with couch, desk and tv.
It's all very roomy.

The bathroom is nice:

I love these shutters all over the hotel:

In front of the Miami Courthouse
Hmmm...
When I was in my early 20s
I worked in this awesome Spanish building
for one summer.
This is the name of the company.
Coconut Grove:
We are wondering what this
New Orleans style building
is doing here.

A band was playing in the Gap.
Hello Kitty was at Coconut Grove!
Then we go to South Beach.
There are approximately a billion restaurants
along Ocean Drive and we end up
sitting at a table next to this person
who looks like me:
She has stringy brown hair
in a ponytail just like mine.
She is wearing exactly the same
color shirt as my hoodie.
So I'm pretending to take
pictures of Bret
but really trying to get
her in the background!
Then we walk around SoBe
where Art Deco hotels abound.

Cardozo Hotel:

Loews:

More Googled photos of the hotels
because they have such varied
and fun architectural details:
We amuse ourselves in one of the lobbies
by posing on these
quirky oversized chairs.
This flamenco dancer
inspires Bret to dance
with one of the waitresses
but fortunately
the waitress doesn't notice.
Of course no trip to Florida
would be complete
without running into
Charlie Chaplin.
Lincoln Road:

We saw Salsa classes in progress:

H&M opened November 8th there:

Bret likes the garage...

and concrete decorations like this:

Wine and Seafood Festival
by our hotel
Because it was Sunday
We could go to Open Houses
So on the way to Las Olas
We checked out some great properties.
