Family Room

I spent quite a bit of time trying
to improve the shelf and mantle contents.
This is the previous version:
This is the new one.
Against my bookloving inclinations,
I ignored topics and grouped the books
according to their physical appearance
to give a cleaner look.
Glass bottles went from the hearth to the mantle.
I put the photos together,
instead of scattering them among everything.
The big tray now serves as a fireplace screen.
The large pewter platter hides the light outlet.
The big ceramic apple landed up there
on the top right shelf.
Text Color All in all...
I don't think it looks much different.

Basement

Yay! No more old carpet in the bathroom!
Just nice new floor...
(left over marble from our Master Bathroom.)

There they are!
My bookshelves...
almost finished.
Here is the new home for our middle wall unit
pieces from the Living Room.
(Those white and black horizontal lines
on the ceiling are just the ceiling foreshortened.)

Map Room

We put the ends of the wall unit
in the map room.

Living Room

We took the wall unit out of the living room:

We put the piano in another corner
facing the keys out, this time.
The room looks bigger now that
the piano doesn't dominate the space.
