I made this little drape to hide the plumbing under the little sink in the Master Bathroom. I made it with the scraps from hemming the Master Bedroom drapes. Isn't that nifty n' thrifty?

Master Bathroom
We got the rest of the marble installed
and moved the towel racks:
We added a BIG round mirror too:
(It's very big, isn't it?)
(That was Bret's idea to make it so big.)

we interrupt this program...
OMG what happened to global warming !
Now aren't all you gulliable conspiracy theory swallowers ashamed of yourselves?
Now aren't all you gulliable conspiracy theory swallowers ashamed of yourselves?
(note: "They" say to look at longer term trends. "They" should follow their own advice and realize that the long term trends are not just a few decades. But like religion, "they" have a cafeteria approach to choosing only those facts that back up their unfounded opinions.)
OMG OMG!
first it's global warming then it's global cooling!
It's like my menopausal hot flashes have taken on
global proportions!
Hurry!
Hesitate not one minute!
Run to the nearest palm reader for the latest forecast...
Push through the screaming mobs stampeding the neighborhood mcMansion mega-church to be reassured or chastized (depending on how full the beggar bowls being passed across the pews are) by their beloved tv evangelist...

mailbox
Almost everyone in the neighborhood
has one of these dreary mailboxes:
(For those who don't know:
Bret had made a mailbox by configuring
an ugly wooden box with a flap top.
I hated it.
Finally, after 19 years,
we replaced it with a normal mailbox.
I was not about to leave our new one there
after waiting all that time to get it.
So we took it off
and placed a generic mailbox in the empty spot.
It's better looking than the one Bret made.)
We finally replaced ours with
the mailbox we brought from Kansas.
the mailbox we brought from Kansas.
Now, isn't this an improvement?

rearranging
I did a little "occasional table" rearranging: I put the covered round from the Master Bedroom (which had previously been in the Guest Bedroom) in the Master Dressing Room...

Today, we were welcomed by yet another neighbor bearing goodies...(no wonder this is place is so popular, there are so many wonderful bakers!)...and then...as dusk settled gently over the rolling hills, we strolled among fern and fauna--camera and binoculars in hand, looking like common, intrusive tourists. My mission was to spot the elusive deers (ok, elusive only to me, everyone else around here has not only seen them, but they have had quite enough of them thankyouverymuch and would be more than happy for them to make themselves even scarcer) ... okay, nevermind them...where was I? Oh, right here:
horses, but no deer!
So, yet another neighbor driving down the street, one we had not previously met, slows down his car, leans over to the passenger side to introduce himself from his open window.
In response to my enthusiasm on deer citing, he helpfully points toward his house a few blocks behind him, "I just saw a bunch of them near my house. If you drive over, you will see them." And so we did just that (after bidding adieu to our new found accomplice).
"I'll drive!" I declared and hopped into our car and off we went.
We drove slowly and carefully, peering into the lush landscape, anticipating beholding the majestic forms bedding down for the evening.
But "alas" it would not be...
the kapricious deer had eluded us once more...

Hearth Room and Basement
We hung platters on the walls and arranged the bookshelves and mantle in the Family Room.

Master Bedroom
Here is our new bench and at the far end, is a small wooden table that we are using as an end table.
Kitchen
Got stuff put away in the kitchen. We are now considering emerald green tile for the floor so it won't be so "red and black".
Close up of both pieces
Here they are close up. This one has glass, so I put the more decorative dinnerware in this one.
