Marines I

We went to see

the Marines march in

the Evening Parade

First we dined nearby

at a Belgian restaurant

and topped it off with

this delightful

mousse au chocolat trio

Our brave marines

all snazzy in their

sharp uniforms:

but they live across the street.

Established in 1798

during the presidency of

John Adams

The United States Marine Band

is the oldest US professional

musical organization.

They perform over 600 times annually.Over 200 times a year at the White House.

Adam and Jesse Baking Cupcakes

Last week, Adam and Jesse decided

to bake cupcakes.

So they went to the grocery store

and bought two cake mixes

and two cans of icing

and Jesse brought

her cake decorating fixings.

Here are the vanilla ones

ready to be embellished:

But there were also marbled ones

and chocolate ones

all individually beautified.

Adam dutifully scarfed down

six of them

so they would fit in the

large covered trays.
